Parish Renewal Capital Campaign

Church Painting Phase

Artistic Rendering of the Sanctuary and Shrines

Dear Friends,

It was just about this time last year that we reentered the church after several weeks of closure to see the beautiful new pews and flooring. It was such a feeling of joy. As we continue our commitment to care for our worship space, I am once again excited to announce the next phase of our church renovation!

This phase includes decorative painting and refurbishment in our sanctuary and shrines, painting of the church ceiling, and installation of a new, hand-painted crucifix. The design will complement the existing colors and patterns in the church. This will be a beautiful transformation that will illuminate the sacred mysteries we celebrate and proclaim.

We are launching a capital campaign to raise $125,000 to complete this project and I ask you to help us reach our goal! We are already off to a fantastic start having received $30,000 from a generous parish family!

Gifts can be made through Faith Direct, check or cash. Checks can be made to the parish with 'Church Renovation' in the memo. Pink envelopes will also be available in the church.

All gifts to the campaign are withheld from diocesan assessments. Any remaining funds after the project's completion will be reserved for future capital improvements.

The sanctuary work is expected to last about three weeks. The painting of the main church ceiling is expected to begin in the New Year. We do not anticipate any interruption of our regular Mass schedule although we expect Eucharistic Adoration on Wednesdays to be cancelled.

May the Holy Spirit guide our work so that we may glorify our Lord and His Eucharistic presence in our church!

In Christ,

Father David Harris

2024 Christmas Giving Tree

Beginning the weekend of November 30 th /December 1 st , our annual Christmas Giving Tree will be set in the alcove at the front of the church, awaiting your visit. The beautiful ornaments decorating the tree were crafted by the members of the Student Council of St. Christopher Academy. The time and care put into each ornament is displayed in the colorful array of designs appearing on the tree. We appreciate the students’ talent and their willingness to participate in this annual parish outreach.

This Christmas, your gifts will be presented to St. Gianna’s Place, Hudson, NH, which provides shelter, life and job skills training, and emotional support to homeless pregnant women and their babies. St. Gianna’s has asked that your donations be in the form of gift cards, which allow their clients to purchase items according to their needs. Each ornament has a label indicating a place from which to purchase a gift card and an amount ranging from $20 to $35.

Kindly deposit your gift card(s) into one of the Offertory Boxes inside the church. You may attach the gift card to the ornament or simply drop the gift card into an Offertory Box. This simplifies both your donation and the distribution of the cards to the clients of St. Gianna’s Place.

Please have all gift cards returned to the church by December 18 th as they will be presented to St. Gianna’s on December 20 th . Thank you for your continuing generosity!
