Cantor

Cantors help the congregation unite their voices in the praise of God by leading the people in singing and chanting of hymns, Responsorial Psalms, and other parts and prayers of the Mass.

Our cantors do not need to be professional musicians, but simply have a strong singing voice, a willingness to learn and practice, and the desire to encourage the people to join in the praise of God through song. Cantoring is a volunteer position and the music director works to schedule cantors at Masses according to their personal schedules and requests.
