Dear Saint Christopher Parish Family,

We usually begin Lent with bold expectations of increasing our prayer, fasting, charitable works, and our faith. Maybe we don’t always follow through as much as we had hoped. This year as we spend Lent in quarantine, stripped of many of the things that keep us hurried and busy, God is making it a little easier to fulfill our vows!

It would be sad if we wasted this time by watching 24-hour news, binging on entertainment, or simply complaining. Have you considered that God wants us to use this time as a gift to grow closer to Him? Perhaps having the eyes of faith can help us see that God has permitted this trial for our own salvation.

Below we have gathered some resources to help you continue on your spiritual journey while at home. You might especially like to take advantage of a free 40-day subscription to FORMED, which has a large library of Catholic movies, bible studies, and children’s programming.
