Confirmation

Sacrament of  Confirmation

While Baptism is the gateway to all the other Sacraments, the Sacrament of Confirmation deepens our baptismal life with the strength of the Holy Spirit.

Adult Confirmation

Adults who have never been Baptized

Adults who have never been baptized go through a special process called the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA). After going through a time of formation and discernment, they may choose to enter the Catholic Church and be baptized, confirmed and receive their First Holy Communion.

Adults who have been Baptized

Adults who have been baptized go through a different program called Confirmation Preparation for Adults. If you have been baptized and would like to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation, contact the rectory. Find out more information on Adult Confirmation at the Diocese of Manchester's website.

Confirmation for ages 8-17

The Diocese of Manchester is now celebrating the Sacraments of Initiation in the Restored Order - Baptism, Confirmation, and First Eucharist.

Confirmation and First Eucharist in the Diocese of Manchester are celebrated during the same Mass with children in the third grade or about age 9. The diocese is currently in a transition where all children who have received their First Eucharist will receive their confirmation with in the next 2 years.

If your child has not yet received their Confirmation, please contact the rectory for your next steps.
