Livestreamed Masse

Pastor's Note on Livestreamed Masses

Friends,

Our parish Mass livestream is a ministry to help infirm and homebound parishioners pray with our Sunday liturgies and spiritually unite with the community. Additionally, we archive past Mass recordings for sharing and personal enrichment.

For Catholics who are able to go about daily activities such as work, school, shopping, and social gatherings, the livestream is not permitted as a substitute for coming to Mass in person.

Since our faith is public and communal, our physical presence at worship is a witness of what we believe. Most importantly, it is only by coming to Mass that we receive its greatest treasure, the Holy Eucharist. The Eucharist is the source and summit of the Church's life through which we receive the healing, strength, and sanctification necessary to live out our baptismal calling. A screen can never transmit this profound gift. At Mass, Jesus gives Himself to us body and soul in Holy Communion, and we respond to His divine invitation with our whole selves, body and soul.

To those parishioners who are unable to worship with us in person, always know that your intentions are spiritually united with us at the altar of every Mass.

In Christ,

Father David
